Why CoolIn

Why people hand us the job

Most complaints in this trade are not about the equipment. They are about a system sized on a guess, a price that moves once the pipework is halfway up the wall, or a company that answers the phone in June and not in January. We put every detail in writing before you commit, turn up when we say, and stand behind the work afterwards. Here is what that means on the day, and more about how we work.

01One company accountable, start to finish
We survey it, we specify it, we install it and we come back to service it. One contract, one number to ring, and one company carrying the risk if something needs putting right.
02Fixed price, written down
Your quote lists the units, the pipe runs, the electrical work and the making good. No day rates, no extras added halfway through.
03We leave it cleaner than we found it
Dust sheets down, core drilling done wet, and a hoover in the van. When we pull off the drive you should not be able to tell we were ever there.
04Certified work, and we will prove it
No refrigerant circuit is opened on your system by anyone without current F-Gas certification, and the electrical side is certified under Part P on completion. Ask to see either certificate and you will get it.
05Everything written down and handed over
Commissioning readings, the manufacturer warranty registered in your name, certificates for the work carried out and a drawing of where the pipework runs. It goes in a pack rather than being promised verbally.

How it works

Four steps from first call to cold air

Most home jobs run from survey to installation inside two weeks. Commercial projects are planned around your trading hours.

  1. 1

    Free survey

An engineer measures the rooms, checks the wall construction, finds the best route for pipework and asks how you actually use the space.

    45 minutes, no charge
  2. 2

    Design and fixed quote

You get a written specification with the exact units, positions, noise ratings and running costs, plus one price that does not move.

    Emailed within 48 hours
  3. 3

    Installation

Two engineers, dust sheets down, wet core drilling and a proper vacuum test before the gas goes anywhere near the system.

    One to three days
  4. 4

    Handover and aftercare

We set it up on your phone, show you the settings worth using, hand over the certificates and book your first service in for free.

What we take on

The jobs we are set up for

Panelled interior of a period bar with a ceiling grille above the bar, the kind of listed building where condensers have to be hidden Commercial

Listed and period buildings

Condensers tucked into lightwells and side returns, routes agreed with the conservation officer before anything is fixed to a wall, and cassettes chosen to sit quietly in an old ceiling.

VRV and VRF systems, phased around your floors
A bright bedroom with strong daylight through a large window, the kind of room that overheats in summer Residential

Whole home multi splits

Three or four rooms running from a single outdoor unit, with pipework taken through eaves, voids and cupboards so nothing shows on the front of the house.

Multi split systems, usually two days on site
Chefs working a busy restaurant line under heat lamps, where extract and make up air matter as much as cooling Hospitality

Kitchens, bars and salons

Extract over the line, fresh air make up, and a separate system for the customer side so the room stays comfortable while the kitchen runs hot.

Cooling and ductwork, fitted around your opening hours

Our promise

Three commitments on every quote we send

Not sales lines. These go into the paperwork you sign, which means you can hold us to every one of them.

The number on the quote is the number on the invoice.

If we measure something wrong at survey, that is our problem to absorb, not a line added to your bill at the end.

Two year guarantee on our workmanship.

Anything that fails because of how we fitted it, we come back and put right at no charge. That sits on top of the manufacturer warranty we register for you.

You get a call, not silence.

If we are held up or a part is slow coming, you hear it from us the same day, with a new date rather than a vague apology.

Areas covered

Across the North West, from one depot

We work within roughly an hour of our base in Manchester. That keeps callouts quick, so a breakdown in August does not turn into a week of waiting in.

Outside these towns, give us a call. If we cannot get to you, we will point you at someone who can.

Common questions

The things people ask on the first call

More detail on the domestic and commercial pages, where the questions get more specific.

How long does an installation take?

A single room is usually one day. A three or four room multi split is two days. Commercial projects depend on the number of units and the access, and we give you a day by day plan with the quote.

Does it need servicing every year?

Yes, and the manufacturers require it to keep the warranty running. A service is a filter clean, a coil clean, a gas pressure check and a drain test. Ours start at £89 per unit and include priority callout.

Which areas do you cover?

Roughly an hour from our base in Manchester, which takes in Greater Manchester, most of Cheshire, Merseyside and southern Lancashire. The full list is further down this page. If you are just outside it, ring us anyway and we will either come to you or point you at someone who can.

What standard is the work held to?

Nobody opens a refrigerant circuit on your system without current F-Gas certification. That is a legal requirement for handling refrigerant rather than a badge, and we will show you the certificate if you want to see it. Electrical work is notifiable under Part P and is certified on completion.

CoolIn holds the contract throughout. We invoice you, our own workmanship is guaranteed for two years on top of the manufacturer warranty, and if something needs putting right you ring us rather than chasing anyone else.

Free survey

Tell us about the space and we will do the rest

Fill this in and an engineer will call you back the same working day. No sales visit, no pressure, and a written quote within 48 hours of the survey.

  • Survey and quote at no cost
  • Fixed price, valid for 60 days
  • Nothing to pay until the job is finished
  • Two year guarantee on our workmanship
