Why we started
Most complaints in this trade are not about the kit
The equipment from the major manufacturers is genuinely good. Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic and the rest all make units that will run for fifteen years if they are sized correctly, installed properly and cleaned once a year.
What goes wrong is everything around the equipment. A system sized on a rule of thumb that cannot cope in August. A quote that grows by six hundred pounds once the pipework is halfway up the wall. A condenser bolted under a neighbour's bedroom window. A company that answers the phone in June and does not in January.
Every one of those is a process problem rather than an equipment problem, which means every one of them is avoidable. Getting the process right is the whole idea behind CoolIn.
- 01We calculate rather than estimate
- A room by room heat gain at survey, with the working shown on the quote. It takes longer than pointing at a wall and guessing, and it is the single biggest reason systems disappoint.
- 02The price is agreed before we order
- Fixed, itemised and valid for 60 days. If we measure something wrong, that is our problem to absorb rather than a line added to your invoice.
- 03One company accountable
- We survey it, specify it, install it and come back to service it. One contract and one number to ring, with no refrigerant circuit opened by anyone without current F-Gas certification.
- 04We say the awkward bits out loud
- Heat pumps blow cool air during a defrost cycle. Outdoor units drip in winter. Tall rooms heat slowly. You will read all of that on this site before you speak to us.
