These terms
These terms apply to work carried out by CoolIn Cooling & Heating Ltd. They sit alongside your quotation, and where the quotation says something different about a specific job, the quotation wins.
Quotations
Quotations are fixed, itemised and valid for 60 days from the date of issue.
The price covers the work described in the quotation. If you ask for something additional once we are on site, we price it and you approve it before we carry it out.
If we get a measurement or an assessment wrong at survey, correcting it is at our cost and not yours. If the property turns out to contain something that could not reasonably have been seen at survey, such as hidden asbestos or unsafe existing wiring, we stop, tell you, and agree the way forward before continuing.
Payment
For domestic work, payment is due on completion unless the quotation says otherwise. We do not take deposits on standard domestic installations.
For commercial work and larger projects, the payment schedule is set out in the quotation and may include a stage payment on delivery of equipment.
Invoices are payable within 14 days. Domestic installations are zero rated for VAT under the energy saving materials relief until 31 March 2027. Commercial work is charged at the standard rate.
Our guarantee
We guarantee our workmanship for two years from the date of completion. If something fails because of how we installed it, we return and put it right at no charge.
Equipment is covered by the manufacturer warranty, which is parts only and which we register in your name. Warranty length depends on the manufacturer and on our accreditation level with them.
Manufacturer warranties require the system to be serviced annually. If servicing is missed, the manufacturer may decline a claim and we cannot override that.
Refrigerant is treated as a consumable by every manufacturer and is not covered by any warranty, ours included.
What the guarantee does not cover
Damage caused by misuse, by other trades, or by alteration of the system by anyone other than us.
Blocked filters, blocked condensate drains and other consequences of the system not being cleaned or serviced.
Failures caused by the electrical supply, by water ingress from the building fabric, or by anything outside the installation itself.
Normal wear, and the gradual reduction in efficiency that every system shows as it ages.
Cancellation
If you are a consumer and you agreed to the work away from our premises, you have 14 days to cancel without giving a reason. If you asked us to start within that period and we did, you pay for what has been done up to the point you cancel.
Once equipment has been ordered specifically for your job and cannot be returned, the cost of that equipment becomes payable. We will tell you before we place the order.
Access and delays
We need access to the property at the agreed times, a working electrical supply, and clear space around the installation areas. Where access is not available and we cannot work, we may charge for the visit.
If we are delayed, you hear from us the same day with a new date. Where a delay is caused by a supplier or by something outside our control, we are not liable for consequential losses.
Complaints
Ring 07932 607335. We acknowledge complaints within one working day and aim to resolve them within ten. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
